Bulgarian Premier Rumen Radev arrived in Berlin for a bilateral meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Radev leads a delegation that includes Vice Premier and Minister of Economy, Investments, and Industry Alexander Pulov, and Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova.

The visit aims to strengthen strategic and friendly relations between the two countries, focusing on areas of bilateral cooperation, European policy, and international security. It marks the first time Radev has visited another country in his capacity as Premier. The meeting will be followed by a plenary session between the two delegations, where discussions will cover topics related to bilateral cooperation, European policy, and international security.

As President (2017-2026), Radev made three high-level visits to Germany, including meetings with former German President Joachim Gauck in 2017 and President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in 2022 and 2025.
