Bulgarian pilot Nikola Tsvolov (Campos) will start from pole position in the Montreal Grand Prix tomorrow, following penalties imposed on two drivers who finished ahead of him in qualifying.

Nikola Tsvolov Advances to Pole Position

Tsvolov qualified fourth in the race for starting positions, but penalties to Rafael Câmara (Invicta) and Alex Dunne (Rodin) moved him up to first place. As a result, Tsvolov will start the race alongside Laurense van Hoopen.

Rafael Câmara and Alex Dunne were penalized with three places back for sprint and the main race due to holding back their opponents during qualifying. Câmara was first penalized for holding Dunne, and then Dunne was penalized for holding Rafael Viyagomes.

Olivier Giot lost his fastest lap due to a crash at turn four, which led to a red flag being raised, pushing him from 19th to 21st on the starting grid. Tashanapol Intrapuvashak also lost his fastest lap due to a red flag caused by him, moving from 15th to 20th for the two races this weekend in Montreal.
