Bulgarian athlete Vasil Antonov claimed the 400m race title for men at the international track and field tournament VERGOTIA, held in Kefalonia, Greece. Under wet conditions, Antonov, a trainee of coach Miroslav Radukanov, set a personal best of 48.41 seconds to clinch first place. Antonov was not the only Bulgarian athlete competing in Greece.
In the women's 100m event, Kristina Radukanova finished fourth in the "A" final with a time of 11.76 seconds (+0.4 m/s). Radina Velichkova won the "B" final with a time of 11.95 seconds (+0.3 m/s). Radukanova also secured fourth place in the 200m race with a time of 24.19 seconds (-0.5 m/s), while Velichkova did not finish in this discipline.
In the women's long jump, Viktoriya Angelova placed seventh with a personal best of 6.03 meters (+0.7 m/s).
Greece's long jump star Miltiadis Tentoglou took the men's long jump title with a jump of 8.21 meters (-0.5 m/s).
