Bulgaria's Gymnasts Eye Medals at World Cup in Tashkent

Bulgaria will send seven athletes – five men and two women – to compete in the World Cup in Tashkent, which takes place from May 21 to 24. Among the male gymnasts, Daniel Trifonov is a key contender. He previously won a gold medal in the horizontal bar and a silver in the vault at the World Cup in Varna. Trifonov, who competes for the "Levski – Spartak" club, will compete in four apparatuses: vault, horizontal bar, floor, and rings.

Yoan Ivanov, who won a silver medal in the parallel bars in Varna, will also strive for a podium finish in Tashkent. In addition to the parallel bars, he will compete in pommel horse and rings.

Bulgaria also has high hopes for Rayan Radkov, one of the country's strongest competitors on the pommel horse. This season, he secured first place on the pommel horse in the Italian championship.

Other notable male competitors include Dimitar Dimitrov and Jordan Alexandrov, who both reached the finals at the World Cup in Varna. Dimitrov will compete in vault, floor, and rings, while Alexandrov will compete in parallel bars and horizontal bar.

On the women's side, Bulgaria will be represented by Nikola Sokolova and Viktoriya Ventzislavova, who will compete in four apparatuses each.

The judges for Bulgaria will be Iliya Yanov for the men and Neli Tankushева for the women. The delegation also includes coaches Milko Tankushев and Damian Ignatov for the men, and Ivelin Ivanov for the women.
