Bosnian footballer Kerim Alajbegović said goodbye to Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg on Saturday, following a successful season. In a heartfelt message to the fans, Alajbegović expressed his gratitude to the club for the trust and warmth shown to him. "I was welcomed very warmly and I thank the club for allowing me to develop so well. I really enjoyed myself on the pitch and I wish the club all the best in the future," said Alajbegović.
Alajbegović arrived at Red Bull Salzburg at the start of the season from Bayer Leverkusen for a fee of two million euros. Over 43 appearances, he scored 12 goals and provided four assists. Leverkusen then activated a buyback clause, reacquiring Alajbegović for eight million euros.
