AFTER a period of uncertainty, Bosnian and Herzegovinian football fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Despite concerns after Haris Tabaković injured his left foot during a match against Hoffenheim last weekend, recent news from Munich brings optimism. Following an examination, team physician Sergej Barbarez has reported that the injury is not as severe as initially feared.

However, given the limited time before the World Cup, Tabaković's recovery will be closely monitored. He has opted against surgery and will focus on conservative treatment to prepare for the tournament. The Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FABiH) has confirmed that Tabaković will join the team's preparations. "Tabaković will participate in the team's preparations and remain a part of the squad until the last moment, given his importance to the team that has qualified for the World Cup," stated the FABiH.

Tabaković Addresses Fans

Shortly after the FABiH announcement, Tabaković took to his Instagram to thank supporters and confirm his participation in the World Cup. "I want to briefly address the many messages and rumors circulating: I am well and grateful for all the queries and support. Yes, I will travel with the team to the World Cup and remain part of the squad. How my recovery progresses and when I will be ready to play will be revealed in the coming days. But, what is certain is that I will be with the team. Thank you all."

Malić Called Up

While monitoring Tabaković's recovery, the coaching staff led by Sergej Barbarez has taken a precautionary measure by calling up young player Arjan Malić, who was part of the team during the qualification round. "The coaching staff has decided to send a supplementary call-up to Arjan Malić, a young player who has been part of the qualification cycle from the beginning and whose attitude towards the team, quality, and professionalism have earned him a place among the team for the preparations," stated FABiH. Malić's status and potential playing time at the World Cup will depend on Tabaković's recovery speed, and FABiH has emphasized that all circumstances have been openly communicated to the players.
