Right-Sided Reinforcements Take Priority

Beşiktaş management has shifted its transfer focus toward the right side of midfield and the right wing, identifying three primary targets for the upcoming summer window. The Istanbul club aims to strengthen its attacking options and midfield balance, with Luis Enrique, Arda Okan, and Yusuf Sarı leading the list of prospects under consideration.

Among these, Luis Enrique remains the top priority. The Brazilian midfielder previously attracted interest from Beşiktaş during the winter transfer period, but his move fell through due to Inter Milan’s reluctance to let him leave. Now, Beşiktaş is preparing a loan deal to bring the 24-year-old to Turkey. Acquired by the Italian side last year for €22.8 million, Luis Enrique has made 43 appearances this season, contributing one goal and three assists. With a current market value of €23 million, he also draws attention from clubs in France and England, adding competition to Beşiktaş’s pursuit.

Local Targets and Past Rejections

Domestic talent also features prominently in Beşiktaş’s plans. Arda Okan Kurtulan, a consistent performer for Göztepe, is on the radar. The 23-year-old’s market value stands at €7 million, but reports suggest Göztepe will not consider offers below €15 million. His regularity and tactical fit make him an attractive option for Beşiktaş, provided the financial hurdle can be cleared.

Another familiar name is Yusuf Sarı, currently with Başakşehir. The midfielder was previously linked with Beşiktaş in 2023, but the move was blocked by then-sports director Samet Aybaba, who cited a strategic mismatch, stating, "We don’t play counter-attacking football." Now, with tactical shifts and new management priorities, Yusuf has re-entered the conversation. His experience and versatility could provide depth to Beşiktaş’s midfield, especially if the club seeks to blend youth with seasoned professionals.

Competitive Market and Strategic Moves

The transfer landscape for Beşiktaş is increasingly competitive. With European clubs eyeing Luis Enrique and domestic rivals vying for local talents like Arda Okan, the Istanbul side must act decisively. The club’s ability to secure these targets will depend on negotiation skills, financial flexibility, and clear tactical vision. As the summer window approaches, Beşiktaş’s transfer strategy could define their ambitions in both domestic and European competitions.
