Beograd will host the prestigious IRONMAN 70.3 Belgrade 2026 on September 13, 2026, a major international triathlon event expected to draw participants from over 70 countries. This event is set to bring together more than a thousand athletes, sports professionals, and enthusiasts from around the world.

The organizers held a press conference to present the event's plans, its significance to the city and the country, and their expectations for the third edition of the IRONMAN 70.3 race in Beograd. Darko Savić, the President of the Board of Directors, Bojan Đurić, the race director, and other officials were present to discuss the event's impact on the development of sports tourism and the international promotion of Beograd.

Darko Savić emphasized that the IRONMAN 70.3 race represents a significant step for local sports and a strong boost to sports tourism and the international promotion of Beograd. He noted that the event is expected to attract a large number of participants and visitors from various countries, contributing to the city's tourism and economic activity.

Bojan Đurić highlighted that the organizing team will execute the event according to the highest international standards, with special attention to the safety of participants, logistics, and the experience of all participants.

“Three weeks ago, I competed in Nairomen in Venice. The mayor of Venice started the race there. While Venice is not known for its Ironman race, the city sees the event as extremely significant for the region. I see that people in Beograd recognized the same significance for their city, and I want to thank them for their exceptional support and partnership. This year, we plan to have a participant number 2.5 times larger than last year,” Đurić said.
