The popular quiz show "Becoming Rich" has reached its 25th anniversary, but the celebrations are yet to come. The intelligent game, which was the first international format to be realized in Bulgaria, will be both familiar and entirely new to viewers.

The iconic host Niky Kanchev announced this news on Facebook today, May 12, marking the show's birthday. Kanchev highlighted that a quarter-century in television is a clear sign that the show has stood the test of time, criticism, and more, becoming a beloved program among the people. It premiered on Saturday, May 12, 2001, on Nova TV.

Against the backdrop of previous quiz shows offering book prizes, these 100,000 levs (around €50,000) were seen as fantastic. Gradually, the show evolved into a social, sociological, and even cultural phenomenon. "Becoming Rich" became more than just a game—it became an emotion, a dream, and knowledge. The show achieved its own Grand Slam, airing on the three largest Bulgarian TV stations before finding its permanent home at BTV.

Kanchev expressed gratitude to everyone involved in "Becoming Rich" and promised to celebrate these 25 years in style.
