The number one ski resort in Bulgaria, Bansko, will host two parallel giant slalom events of the World Cup in alpine snowboarding during the upcoming season, announced the Bulgarian Ski Federation (BSF). According to the provisional calendar of the International Ski Federation (FIS), the events will take place on January 16 and 17, 2027, under Mount Todor.

The flawless organization of snowboarding events by BSF and the hosts in Yulen-Bansko have always been the top choice for both World Cup leaders and competitors. This is one of the best advertisements for Bulgaria around the world, according to the BSF statement.

The new season will kick off with two parallel slaloms in Shenzhen, China, on November 27 and 28, 2026. Competitors will remain in China for two parallel giant slaloms in Mulin on December 5 and 6.

The schedule continues with events in Italy, including a giant slalom in Cortina d'Ampezzo on December 12 and a race in Carezza on December 17. Later, events are planned in Switzerland: a parallel slalom in Davos on December 19 and a giant slalom in Scuol on January 9.

Following the events in Bansko in January, the World Cup caravan will move to Rogla, Slovenia, for a snowboard cross event on January 23. Two days later, in Bad Gastein, Austria, a parallel slalom and mixed team event will be held.

FIS is still seeking a host for an event between February 12 and 14. Two giant slaloms are planned in Krynica, Poland, at the end of February. From March 7 to 10, the World Snowboard Championships will be held in Montafon, Austria.

The season finale will traditionally take place in Winterberg, Germany, with a parallel slalom and mixed team event.

The upcoming events in Bansko will be the sixth World Cup under Mount Todor. The last World Cup event, held in January this year, saw Tervel Zamfirov win first place, and Radostin Yanov finish third.
