Fenerbahçe presidential candidate Aziz Yıldırım has pledged to build a long-lasting and institutional club structure, emphasizing the importance of working with experienced footballers who understand the club. "Our football brain will be comprised of athletes who know Fenerbahçe; we will work together with them. While striving for success, we will also implement economic projects," he stated.
The extraordinary general assembly of Fenerbahçe Sports Club is scheduled for June 6-7, and Yıldırım will continue his campaign before the meeting. He is set to introduce his management council at a press conference on May 22.
Yıldirim aims to establish a model similar to the sustainable sporting success achieved between 2001 and 2011. He plans to form an advisory board of former athletes and will make transfers based on the club's needs. The technical director will be decided by the management council alongside the team's formation.
Yıldırım reiterated, "The most important thing I have to say is that we will be champions, and we will celebrate together. I became a candidate because Fenerbahçe needs me. If we work together, there is nothing we cannot achieve. We will resolve financial issues; we have always created resources, and we will do so again. We will implement projects that generate more financial resources. We will stand together for Fenerbahçe. The club is not without an owner because its owners are you. We will form a management council with valuable people, including the club president, federation president, and divan president. Our new management will leave a mark on the next 10 years. We aim to achieve a capacity of 60-65 thousand for our stadium. We will work towards a lasting and institutional club structure, where fans contribute to the club and generate information."
Yıldırım’s vision is bold and ambitious, but can he deliver the sustainable success and financial stability that Fenerbahçe needs? Let's see if his experienced team can turn things around and bring back the glory days!
