Arsenal Claims Premier League Title After 22-Year Wait
LONDON – Arsenal has secured the Premier League title with just one week remaining in the season, following Manchester City's draw with Bournemouth. The London club's championship drought, which began in the 2003-2004 season, has finally come to an end.
In the 37th week of the league, Manchester City played against Bournemouth away. The match at Vitality Stadium ended in a 1-1 draw.
As a result, Arsenal, leading the table, announced its championship victory with one week left in the season. This marks Arsenal's 14th Premier League title and the first under the management of Mikel Arteta, who took over on December 22, 2019.
Arteta has now claimed his first league championship, adding to his previous achievements with Arsenal, including two English Super Cups and one FA Cup.
Meanwhile, Manchester City, under the management of Pep Guardiola since the summer of 2016, has failed to win the Premier League for two consecutive seasons for the first time. Guardiola previously led the club to championships in the 2017-18, 2018-19, 2020-21, 2021-22, and 2023-24 seasons.
This is a historic moment for Arsenal fans! After 22 years, the Gunners have finally reclaimed the Premier League title. But will they be able to keep it next season or will Manchester City bounce back? Let's see!
