Antonelli: Upgrades Give Mercedes an Edge in Montreal
Formula 1 leader Andrea Kimi Antonelli finished second in the sprint qualifying round in Montreal, praising the recent modifications to his Mercedes car after the session.
“My penultimate lap was really bad, to be honest — admitted Antonelli. — I wasn’t driving cleanly at all. I made a mistake and it threw me off.”

“After that, I decided to attack with the soft tires, but without pre-warming them. They ended up being colder than necessary. Still, second place, and I definitely have serious potential,” Antonelli added.
“We’re using new things on the car here, but we need to understand a bit better how everything works, as we had to make a change to the rear balance. But clearly, the upgrades are giving us an edge again,” Antonelli concluded.
