The final week of the Turkish Super Lig was marked by intense suspense over which teams would be relegated. Leading up to the final matches, Gençlerbirliği, Eyüpspor, Antalyaspor, and Kasımpaşa were all at risk of relegation.
ANTALYASPOR RELEGATED
Following the match results, Antalyaspor became the last team to be relegated from the Super Lig. Despite beating Kocaelispor 1-0 at home, other outcomes did not favor Antalyaspor, leading to their relegation with 32 points.
KAYSERİ AND KARAGÜMRÜK RELEGATED LAST WEEK
Last week, Kayserispor and Fatih Karagümrük also said their farewells to the Super Lig. Antalyaspor, Kayserispor, and Karagümrük will compete in the Trendyol 1.Lig next season.
EYÜPSPOR CLINGS TO SURVIVAL
Antalyaspor was closely watching the matches in Istanbul and Trabzon. While Kasımpaşa beat Galatasaray 1-0, the Fenerbahçe-Eyüpspor match was particularly tense. Leading 2-0, Eyüpspor conceded three goals in the 68th, 79th, and 82nd minutes. However, Eyüpspor managed to equalize the score to 3-3 in the 87th minute, securing their place in the league.
In another match, Gençlerbirliği defeated Trabzonspor 2-0, ensuring their survival in the Super Lig.
This is such a heartbreaking end to the season for Antalyaspor fans! They played so hard but it just wasn't enough. Can we expect a strong return to the Super Lig next year? What do you think, fans?
