Brazil's national football team is the only one that has played in every World Cup so far, a record they will aim to maintain in the upcoming tournament to be held in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
The five-time world champions are one of the most watched teams, and the fans are particularly interested in the inclusion of Neymar in the team, selected by coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Neymar is not the same player who dazzled and lit up European football fields. However, Ancelotti emphasized that the technical staff has closely monitored Neymar's progress throughout the season and is satisfied with his recent physical improvements.
“We have been evaluating Neymar throughout the season. In recent times, he has significantly improved his physical condition and we have seen great progress. He is a very important player for Brazil and will have a significant role at the World Cup,” Ancelotti stated.
The experienced coach made it clear that Neymar would not receive any special treatment.
“Neymar has the same responsibilities as all other players. He can start the match from the beginning, come on as a substitute, or even remain on the bench. His obligations to the team are the same as those of every other player,” the Italian coach said.
Ancelotti’s decision to include Neymar is bold and risky but it could pay off big. Will he be able to deliver on the World Cup stage? Let’s see!
