What a spectacle we witnessed in Sijemenu at the second stop of the Diamond League! Chinese athlete Ziji Jan achieved the second-best result of all time in the hammer throw, breaking Chinese, Diamond League, world under-18 and under-20 records with a throw of 71.74 meters, just a day after turning 18. In such fierce competition, our Adriana Vilagoš secured a phenomenal third place, with a season record result.

The Serbian athlete achieved her best throw of the night in the fifth series, reaching a distance of 63.64 meters. Throughout five series, she surpassed her previous best throws of the year, demonstrating the effectiveness of her preparations.

Vilagoš's Performance

Vilagoš’s other throws included distances of 63.57, 62.95, 61.36, and 61.33 meters, while her fifth series throw was 58.21 meters. Norwegian Sigrid Borge secured second place with two throws over 60 meters, reaching exactly 65 meters with one of them.

Other Competitors

Following Vilagoš were Polish athlete Marija Andrejčik with 62.51 meters, Flor de Denis Ruiz Hurtado, Tori Murbi, Haruka Kitaguchi, Jian Dai, Malgorzata Maslak-Glugla, and Elina Cengko.
