Adrian Rus, 30, who has a €1.3 million contract offer from Mihai Rotaru on the table, discussed his future on "Ion Oblemenco" shortly after the University of Craiova secured the Romanian Superliga title. The experienced player stated that he wishes to stay with the team from Banja and will make a decision at the end of the season after the final stage.

Rus expressed his desire to continue at the University of Craiova and announced that he will make a decision at the end of the season following negotiations with owner Mihai Rotaru. The veteran player feels very comfortable on "Ion Oblemenco" and contributed to the team's historic performance this season, including winning the Romanian Cup and the Superliga title.

“We are very happy, we need to go to Rapid and win. It’s the work of a year, I’m delighted! I told the team to remember the away game, how we felt, that it was a painful loss. We expected the return match, that we would win. I can say that I always felt we were very strong, even after the 4-0 loss. All my teammates trained at 100%, gave everything,” said Rus.

“What’s next? We are in discussions, the season is not over. If we understand each other, I will definitely stay here. There are very good chances. I wanted to finish this season well, make history here. After that, we will sit down and talk,” he added in an interview with DigiSport.
