Ribarska Banja, located in the foothills of Veliki Jastrebac, is a renowned Serbian spa known for its healing waters. According to legend, these waters have been visited by Serbian nobility, including Queen Milica and royal fishermen. Today, Ribarska Banja is recognized as one of the most famous air spas in Serbia.

Systematic research into the healing properties of the waters began in 1834, upon the order of Prince Miloš. Since then, the spa has become one of the significant health resorts in the region.

Natural Oasis

The area has long been known for its healing waters, evidenced by numerous archaeological remains and the presence of Turkish baths built during the Ottoman era. In 1834, Prince Miloš officially ordered the investigation of the water composition and healing properties at Veliki Jastrebac.

Ribarska Banja, situated at the foot of one of Serbia's most forested mountains, offers a combination of clean mountain air and healing waters. Visitors can benefit from various therapies, including electro, thermo, and magneto treatments, as well as ultrasonic, hydro, and kinesiotherapies, designed to prevent and treat various ailments.
