World champions and Diamond League title holders Nicola Olslags (Australia) and Cordell Tinch (USA) will make their debut at the Novuna London Athletics Meet on July 18th. The event is part of the Diamond League.

Olslags is the Australian national record holder in high jump, with a personal best of 2.04 meters set at the Diamond League final in Zurich in 2025. Besides her world title from Tokyo, she is a two-time world champion indoors and a two-time Olympic silver medalist. In 2025, she was named the best athlete in technical events by World Athletics.

"Last year was so wonderful, but as I thought about everything I achieved, I felt even more excited about the future," declared 29-year-old Olslags, who won her seventh Australian title in high jump in April.

"This will be my first competition in London since the World Athletics Championships in 2017, and I know it will be a truly special experience. I am so grateful for the opportunity to return to Europe this summer and do what I love."

Tinch made a significant breakthrough in 2025, winning five Diamond League events and setting a personal best of 12.87 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles, the fourth-fastest time in history, at the Shanghai/Kecyao meet. His time of 12.99 seconds, which won him the world title in Tokyo, was the fifth-best performance of his career and brought him his first global medal.

"I learned a lot during the time I was away from the sport, and I don't believe I would be a world champion now if I hadn't taken that decision," said Tinch, who retired from the track in 2020 and returned in 2023. "Looking towards the 2026 season, I am setting a new standard for myself, which means approaching each competition as the person they need to beat. I am very excited to compete in London for the first time."
