The Olympiacos football club has been dealing with a striker shortage this year, which, along with the departure of El Kaaby and the transfer of Pontus, hindered their championship aspirations.

Consequently, it was expected that Olympiacos would actively pursue one or two new strikers. However, according to a report from Sportime, the club's management, influenced by coach Jose Luis Mendilibar, has other plans.

For the new season, Olympiacos will have five ready-to-play strikers. These include Fortuné, Andre Luiz, Martins, Rondon, and Pontus, with Fortuné having signed a contract. Mendilibar is content with these five players for the upcoming season.

Pontus, in particular, is seen as the primary striker by Mendilibar for the new season.
