Vladimir Vladimirov Wins Absolute Champion at 23rd Bataňovska Sила

Vladimir Vladimirov claimed the absolute champion title at the 23rd Bataňovska Sила powerlifting tournament in Bataňovtsi, Bulgaria. He lifted 330 kg from a squat, 155 kg from a bench, and 370 kg in the deadlift. Second place went to Lubomir Yordanov, and third place to Luchezar Parvanov.

In the under 80 kg category, Anton Krumov took gold, while under 90 kg was won by Lubomir Parvanov, under 100 kg by Lubomir Yordanov, and in the heavyweight category by Vladimir Vladimirov. Among the women, Valentina Vasileva took the top prize.

Over 20 competitors from various categories participated in the tournament, which has been running for over two decades. Vladimir Vladimirov, the organizer and founder of the event, noted that this year saw fewer participants due to the tournament coinciding with a competition in Serbia and a recent national event in Bulgaria. At the latter, Vladimirov came in second as the absolute champion, Valentina Vasileva also placed second, and Lubomir Yordanov first in the heavyweight category.

Vladimir Vladimirov thanked the municipality of Bataňovtsi, the Pernik community, and the sponsors who supported the tournament and contributed to the prize fund. The event was opened by Ivo Simonov, the secretary of the Pernik administration, who congratulated the participants. Mayor Radoslav Petrov also opened the tournament and wished the competitors success.

The competition began with a moment of silence in memory of one of the competitors, Venchislav Iliev, who recently passed away.
