In Dinamo Zagreb, Danijel Zagorac (39) has been a stalwart for over a decade, having spent only a half-season on loan with Lokomotiva. He has become a club legend, a morale booster, and a seasoned veteran who has weathered numerous coaching changes and leadership transitions. This summer, Zagorac was expected to leave Maksimir, but it now seems a new agreement is in the works.

Zagorac's behavior and contributions to the team have been highly valued at Dinamo, even though he has rarely been the first-choice goalkeeper. Instead, he has stepped up whenever needed, often excelling, notably under Nenad Bjelić's first tenure as a substitute for Dominik Livaković. Zvonimir Boban is offering Zagorac a new one-year contract, which would allow him to continue as a backup and mentor other goalkeepers.

This summer, the goalkeeper roster will see significant changes. Livaković is returning to Fenerbahçe, but the club will try to retain him despite the challenges. The current second-choice goalkeeper is Ivan Filipović (31), and Ivan Nevistić is also in the picture, likely to leave the club. Nikola Čavlina (23), who did not play any minutes in his loan at Como, will return but is not in coach Marija Kovačević's plans. Zagorac, who will turn 40 in February and is the oldest first-team player, has made 93 appearances for Dinamo, conceding 76 goals and keeping 47 clean sheets.
