German coach Thomas Tuchel has once again stunned the football world with his decisions for the upcoming World Cup squad. Although the official squad will be announced today at 11 AM, Tuchel has already spoken to players, and many details have leaked into the English media. The public is shocked that some big stars haven't been included in the final 26-player list.

Alexander-Arnold Not in Squad

Fabrizio Romano reports that Trent Alexander-Arnold (27), a star for Real Madrid, is not on the list. The right back for England has 34 appearances and four goals, but due to a weaker form this season, he was not included in the final squad. Alexander-Arnold made 30 appearances and five assists for Real Madrid this season, far from his best form since his move from Liverpool.

According to Transfermarkt, Alexander-Arnold is valued at €65 million. Tuchel will instead lead Djed Spence (25), a Tottenham winger, who has made four appearances for the national team. Spence is valued at €30 million and has made 43 appearances for Spurs this season.

Palmer and Foden Left Out

Yesterday, shocking information emerged about Tuchel's squad. Cole Palmer, a 24-year-old Chelsea star valued at €110 million by Transfermarkt, will not be going to the World Cup. Palmer scored just nine goals in the Premier League this season, the lowest since joining the club three years ago.

Phil Foden will also not be on the squad, despite his 80 million euro valuation. Foden had seven goals and five assists in 32 Premier League appearances this season. Foden has played 49 times for England but will not travel to the World Cup.

Maguire "Shocked and Disappointed"

One of the biggest names to miss the tournament is Manchester United defender Harry Maguire. For the 33-year-old veteran with 67 appearances, this decision likely marks the end of his international career, especially since Tuchel ranked him as the sixth choice in defense in March.

Maguire confirmed the news on Instagram: "I was confident I could play an important role this summer for my country after the season I had. The decision shocked and disappointed me. I wish the players all the best."

The final squad will be officially announced on Friday via a new application from the English Football Association and presented by former national team players Daniel Sturridge and Theo Walcott. Tuchel will provide more details on his decisions on June 1st.

The team will then travel to the United States, first to a camp in Florida, and then to Kansas City to prepare for the group stage. England will open the World Cup against Croatia on June 17th and will also play against Ghana and Panama in their group.
