Croatian tennis star Tara Wurth and her Swiss partner Naima Karamoko have secured the doubles title at the Zagreb Open. This victory marks Wurth's second trophy at the event, following her singles triumph last year. The pair achieved this success in their first joint appearance.

The final, which was extended over three days due to rain, saw the Croatian-Swiss duo defeat Romanian Briana Szabo and Latvian Beatrise Zeltina with a score of 3-6, 7-6 (4), 10-5. Despite the challenging weather conditions, the players managed to deliver a captivating performance that won the hearts of the spectators at Šalata.

Wurth reflected on the experience, saying, "It was really interesting. On the first day, we only played three games before waiting for over a day to continue. When we resumed, things started to click. At 5-4, when I was serving for the set, we had to stop again. On the third day, only the match finale remained. This was a very unique experience."

The rain certainly added an element of unpredictability, but the players' resilience and determination shone through, making for an unforgettable tournament.
