Ukrainian tennis star Elina Svitolina, currently ranked 10th in the world, has secured her third title in Rome after a two-hour and 49-minute match. This triumph marks Svitolina’s third victory in the Italian capital, having previously won the title in 2017 and 2018.

The match began with a strong performance from Svitolina's opponent, who took an early lead of 2:0 and 4:2. However, Svitolina managed to regain control by winning four consecutive games and leading the match.

In the second set, both players managed to break serve once, resulting in a tie-break, which the American player won 7:3. In the third set, Svitolina played more consistently, breaking serve twice in the fifth and seventh games. She secured her 20th career title after the third match point.

Svitolina has now joined Venus Williams, Victoria Azarenka, Aryna Sabalenka, and Iga Świątek as one of the five active tennis players to have won 20 WTA titles.
