The Süper Lig's final matches of the season continue, and today's results have determined the fifth place team. Two teams were battling for this position: Başakşehir and Göztepe.

RAMS Başakşehir secured fifth place by defeating Gaziantep FK 2-1 in an away match. Nuri Şahin's team ended the season with 57 points, while Gaziantep finished with 37 points. The orange-blue team could secure a UEFA Europa Conference League spot if they win the Turkey Cup final against Trabzonspor or Konyaspor on May 22. If Konyaspor wins the cup, they will secure the Europa League spot.

GÖZTEPE MISSED OUT

Göztepe, who were also in the running for fifth place, lost a crucial match away to Samsunspor with a 3-0 defeat. Additionally, Heliton received a red card in the 81st minute. This result left Göztepe with 55 points, while Samsunspor improved their score to 51 points.
