Serbia has a new European champion in taekwondo! Stefan Takov secured the gold medal at the European Championships in Münster, defeating Georgian Zurab Kuntarashvili with a 2:0 victory in the final of the under-74 kg category.

Andrea Bokan also contributed to the success of Serbian taekwondo by reaching the silver medal position in the under-54 kg category. In the final bout, she was defeated by Turkey's Akgul with a score of 2:1.

Takov began the competition with a free pass in the first round and then systematically defeated his opponents. In the second round, he beat Bulgarian Stefan Stamenov with a 2:0 score, and in the quarterfinals, he secured a dominant victory over Polish Lukasz Chudnacz, which the judges interrupted due to his complete control of the match.

The semifinal was also decisive for Takov, as he defeated Croatian Marko Golubic with a 2:0 score. He won the first round with a precise strike and controlled the second round to secure a 10:4 victory and a place in the final.

In the gold medal match, a fierce battle was witnessed, but Takov found the right solutions at crucial moments, winning both rounds and rightfully claiming the European title. This is his second European title, adding to his already impressive career that includes a world silver and bronze.

Takov is not the only one to have excelled; Andrea Bokan won a silver medal, losing in the final to the Turkish representative, Akgul.
