Jessie Stapleton and Hayley Nolan have returned to the Republic of Ireland squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against the Netherlands and France.

West Ham's Stapleton and Crystal Palace's Nolan missed the team's matches against Poland in April due to injuries. The squad now includes Denise O'Sullivan and Emily Murphy, though they will miss the home match due to suspension.

Shelbourne's Aoibheann Clancy retains her place in the 25-player squad and is the only player from within the Premier Division set-up. Katie McCabe, who recently announced her departure from Arsenal after 11 years, is expected to captain the side.

The Republic of Ireland will welcome the Netherlands to Pairc Ui Chaoimh on June 5 before traveling to face France four days later. Carla Ward's side currently sits third in League A2, while the Netherlands leads the group and remains unbeaten in the qualifying tournament.

The Republic of Ireland hopes to secure a top spot in their group to qualify for the World Cup in Brazil automatically, rather than having to compete in the play-offs.
