Smederevska Tvrđava once again becomes the center of wine culture under the patronage of the city and local Tourism Organization. The Despot Wine Fest will take place on June 13-14, offering a unique blend of historical and modern experiences. This medieval fortress, a prominent symbol of Smederevo, will host numerous wineries, farms, and food producers, allowing visitors to explore authentic tastes through an exhibition, sales, and competition program.

The centuries-old connection of this region with viticulture and wine production is best illustrated by the famous Smederevo wine, which holds a special place in the local culture. The cultivation of wine culture on this land dates back to the Roman period, through the era of Despot Đurađ Branković, and continues to this day, forming an integral part of the city's identity. The festival successfully bridges historical heritage and contemporary wine culture through engaging content for a broad audience.

The exhibitor stands will be open during both festival days from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM. This event provides an ideal opportunity for wine and food producers to establish direct contact with numerous visitors, showcasing their offerings in the authentic atmosphere of the medieval fortress on the Danube.

The program is dynamic and diverse, featuring concerts, artistic performances, expert lectures, and thematic content celebrating the wine, gastronomy, and traditions of this region. The Despot Wine Fest confirms its status as an indispensable gathering place for all wine, culture, and history enthusiasts of Smederevo.
