Tekwondist Stefan Takov secured the gold medal at the European Championships in Minsk, leading Serbia to one of its most significant continental achievements in recent years. Takov, as the third seed, dominated his path to the European title, defeating the Bulgarian Stefan Stamenov and the Polish Lukas Čudnac. His victory over the Croatian Marko Golubić in the semifinal was decisive, with a score of 10:4. In the gold medal match, Takov outperformed his opponent, securing a second European championship title in his career. In addition to his European gold, Takov has also won silver and bronze medals at world championships.

Andrea Bokan also contributed to Serbia's success, clinching the silver medal in the women's category. Bokan defeated Eju Makas and Italian Maloberti to advance to the semifinals, where she staged a comeback from a lost first round to defeat French Fofane with a score of 2:1. In the final, Bokan fought valiantly but fell to the dominant Turkish Akgul, who took the gold medal.

Serbia thus concluded the European Championships with two medals, celebrating the achievements of its taekwondo athletes.
