Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has expressed gratitude to students from Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for their kind words and respect towards Serbia. The students are in Serbia as part of the Balkan Trek study visit.
On his Instagram account, Vučić shared statements from the students, who noted they had the opportunity to learn about Serbia's development, culture, and traditions during their visit. Zhang Shuhuai from Harvard expressed that it was an honor to meet with President Vučić, Foreign Minister Marko Đurić, and Education Minister Dejan Vuk Stanković.
"I am grateful to these wonderful young people for their kind words and respect shown towards our country. It is a great pleasure when young and successful people recognize Serbia's progress and show respect for what we are building," said Vučić.
Zhang emphasized that their visit helps better understand Serbia's rich culture, history, and the extraordinary hospitality of its people. He is confident that with competent leadership and the intelligence of the Serbian people, Serbia has a bright future ahead.
Haonan Tian from Harvard also expressed it was an honor and privilege to speak with the President of Serbia.
Vučić sure knows how to play the PR game, but can he back up these compliments with real progress? Let's see some tangible results, not just empty praise!
