Serbian metal band "Lavina" made a powerful impact in the first semi-final of this year's Eurovision with their song "Kraj mene" and secured a spot in the finals taking place tonight in Vienna. Despite varied betting odds, the band has garnered significant public support from across Europe and fellow competitors.
Greek representative for Eurovision, singer Akilas, praised "Lavina" for their energy, technique, and aesthetic. Akilas stated, "This isn't just noise. It's technically demanding, and they pull it off brilliantly. I really wish them all the best. I love the aesthetic, the clothing. It's iconic."
Marija Šerifović on Lavina
Marija Šerifović, the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 207 with her song "Molitva," publicly supported this year's Serbian representatives. She also acknowledged that some of her acquaintances find the band's performance unsettling.
"Good music isn't always close to everyone's heart," Šerifović noted. "Some of my friends wrote to me last night, saying they were frightened by the song. It's literally giving them goosebumps." She emphasized that different people have different musical tastes and that everyone should be able to enjoy their preferred genre without judgment.
