Despite a narrow 31-30 loss in Hungary, Serbia's handball team secured a place in the World Championship by winning the overall two-game series. The team not only overcame their opponents but also an unfavorable refereeing decision that was far from fair.

Dragan Pešmalbek, Serbia's pivot, provided his first impressions following the significant win.

"This is unbelievable, surreal, and irreplaceable. We endured everything, succeeded, and ultimately qualified for the World Championship. We played excellently, fiercely, and were better than everyone and everything."

Vanja Ilić, the team's top scorer, could not be happier with their qualification.

"A phenomenal feeling! We deserved the qualification because we fought and died for every ball, playing incredibly from start to finish. Let Serbia rejoice!"

Stefan Dodić expressed pride in the entire team and their success against such a strong opponent like Hungary.

"This is what life is about, and I think we've met all expectations. We've surpassed ourselves and a full arena, successfully eliminating one of the strongest teams in the world. Proud to be part of this."
