Serbian-born Milan Nedeljković has taken over the role of CEO at BMW, succeeding Oliver Zipse at the annual shareholders' meeting of the German automotive giant.
Nedeljković, in his first address, announced that BMW will bring a new generation of cars with the "Neue Klasse" project, emphasizing that speed and profitability will be key in the coming period. Former CEO Oliver Zipse bid farewell with an emotional message, thanking the team he led for the past seven years.
According to BMW Group's official records, Nedeljković was born in Kruševac in 1969. He started his career at BMW in 1993 as a trainee and has been a board member responsible for production since 2019. He has overseen factories in Oxford, Leipzig, and Munich, and his mandate in the new role runs until 2031.
