Slavko built a mosque for his Bosniak neighbors, from the ground up. His gesture has inspired many people across the Balkans.

"Built from the ground up to the top"

According to a post shared on social media by Edo Ćurić, Slavko from Rogatica was involved in the construction of the mosque for his Bosniak neighbors. It is reported that he was not just a casual helper but was deeply involved in the construction from the very beginning.

"He built this mosque, from the ground up to the top, my friend Slavko Nerić, a Serb from Rogatica. He built it so that Muslims could return. Look, when someone says we can't live together. How can we not?" Edo said.

The story gained additional attention after being shared by the Instagram page "official.bih.srb.hr.cg," known for publishing positive stories from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, and Montenegro. The post quickly spread and garnered a large number of reactions, with user comments showing how such stories continue to resonate strongly with people.

"We can and must live together"

Many pointed out that examples like this show that communal living, respect, and mutual aid are possible regardless of national and religious differences.

"We can and must live together. Those who don't understand this, don't think well of themselves, and even less of others." wrote one user.

Others noted that "respecting others' faith means recognizing every person's right to their own path and spirituality, which is the foundation of freedom and human dignity."

Supportive comments included:

"We can surely live together, I hope everyone will understand this one day," "Honor to him. This is a true Serb," and reminders that people used to help each other more often regardless of differences.
