Rapid Bucharest drew 2-2 with FC Argeș, missing out on European qualification once again. After the match in Mioveni, Cristi Săpunaru, a legendary Rapid player, had harsh words for the club's management, specifically targeting Mauro Pederzoli, the sports director who will leave the club at the end of the season.

"Săpun" argues that Pederzoli has been "invisible" during his nearly one-year tenure and has failed to contribute anything significant to the team in the current season. Despite attending training sessions, Săpunaru believes Pederzoli's impact has been minimal.

Săpunaru also emphasizes that both players and coaching staff are responsible for the club's disappointing season. He clarifies that he has no personal issues with Pederzoli but finds his performance at Rapid unconvincing.

Victor Angelescu, a minority shareholder of Rapid, disagrees with Săpunaru's assessment. Angelescu asserts that the club's management has been satisfied with Pederzoli's contributions, particularly in transfers, and notes that Pederzoli actively participated in all of the club's moves this season.

Mauro Pederzoli, an experienced sports director, has held various positions at clubs around the world, including Brescia, Cagliari, Liverpool (as a scout), Torino, AC Milan's youth teams, Novara, Cerro Porteño, Quevado, Miami FC, Guangzhou Hengfeng, and Parma.
