Two playoff games in the NBA were played last night, both resulting in decisive victories. One of these victories has already determined the second finalist in the Western Conference.
In the first matchup of the night, the Detroit Pistons defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 115-94 as the visiting team, evening the Eastern Conference semifinal series at 3-3. Cade Cunningham led the victors with 21 points, benefiting from his team's dominance under the basket. The 20 missed shots by the Cavaliers proved fatal, leaving the home team with no chance to turn the game around. All will be decided in the decisive Game 7, which will be played in Detroit.
Later in the night, the San Antonio Spurs advanced to the Western Conference finals for the first time since 2017, after crushing the Minnesota Timberwolves 139-109 and closing out the semifinal series 4-2. The "Spurs" dominated from the very beginning of Game 6, leading by an impressive 29-point margin at halftime, supported by a new club playoff record of 18 three-pointers. The standout player of the evening was rookie Stephen Kassell, who emerged as the top scorer with 32 points and 11 rebounds.
This NBA playoff action has been on fire! Who's going to come out on top? I can't wait to see what happens in the upcoming games. Let's see if San Antonio can keep this momentum!
