Salah Criticizes Liverpool's Performance and Style Under Slot
Following Liverpool's defeat to Aston Villa, Mohamed Salah has expressed his dissatisfaction with the team's performance and style under Arne Slot. Salah, who announced his departure at the end of the season, suggested that Jurgen Klopp's style was much more successful and that the team should return to it.
“I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that,” Salah wrote.
“Our crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not something our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool become a heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear, once again a team that wins trophies. This is the football I know how to play, and this identity needs to be rediscovered and preserved. It cannot be a subject for negotiation, and anyone who joins this club must adapt to it.
Winning a match occasionally is not what Liverpool should be. All teams win matches. Liverpool will always mean a great deal to me and my family. I want to see it succeed long after I am gone. I have always said that qualifying for the Champions League next season is the absolute minimum, and I will do everything in my power to make it happen,” the Egyptian star added.
Did Salah just throw the gauntlet down at Slot? Is this the end for him at Liverpool? What does the future hold for the team? Let's see if they can bounce back!
