Romanian President Nicușor Dan, accompanied by his son Antim, visited the Black Sea Defense, Aerospace and Security (BSDA) exhibition on Friday. This event is the largest defense expo in the Black Sea region, featuring over 550 companies from 36 countries. The pair were greeted by Defense Minister Radu Miruță and admired a replica of the European Cup trophy won by Steaua Bucharest in 1986. They also boarded an F-35 fighter jet and continued their tour of the exhibitor stands.

The 10th edition of BSDA began on Wednesday in Bucharest, on the Romaero Băneasa site, marking 20 years since its inception. This is the largest expo of its kind, attracting more than 550 exhibitors and expecting over 30,000 visitors and 350 high-level officials over three days. The first two days are exclusively for official visitors, including military and business delegates, while the general public is invited on the third day.

The event features an array of exhibitors, including Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Hanwha Aerospace, Otokar, Leonardo, Rafael, and others, alongside prominent Romanian companies such as Romarm, Aerostar, and Pro Optica. The Romanian Armed Forces also present their equipment, including the Black Sea region's special forces, the Romanian Intelligence Service, and the Romanian Ministry of Defense.

The event is organized by TNT Productions Romania in partnership with various government ministries and agencies, with support from the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest.
