Red Star secured the Serbian Cup with a victory over Vojvodina, winning the penalty shootout 5-4 (2-2) and achieving their sixth consecutive double crown.
Tomas Handel provided his post-match impressions.
"It was incredibly tough. We were down 2-0, they were excellent on the counter-attack, and we couldn't control that well. But we showed unbelievable character. We fought back. It's a fantastic feeling."
Handel revealed what was most crucial to their comeback.
"It's not easy to come back from being down 2-0 in the cup final. But we always felt we could turn things around; we know the strength of our character. We had good communication and talked it through, which was key to the turnaround."
Dejan Stanković believed in the boys.
"He told us to believe in ourselves and what we had been working on all week. I think we couldn't handle fouls on our half initially, but we corrected that in the second half. We were braver in the continuation, and I believe we deserved this," Handel reported.

I can't believe how resilient Red Star was to come back from 2:0 down! Stanković's words were the turning point. Do you think they deserved this win, or was it just pure luck?
