German Workers Protest Against Planned Cuts to Health and Social Services Spending
On this year's International Labor Day, workers across Germany took to the streets to participate in traditional parades while also protesting against planned cuts to health and social service expenditures. The demonstrations were organized by labor unions to voice their concerns over the potential reductions, according to the German Press Agency.
Yasmin Fahimi, the chair of the German Confederation of Trade Unions, expressed a strong stance, declaring, "If they attack us, we will defend ourselves."
The protests reflect a significant concern among German workers about the impact of reduced spending on health and social services, which could affect the quality of life and the stability of the social welfare system in the country.
