PGL Announces Major Tournament in Łódź, Poland
PGL, the renowned tournament organizer, has announced a major tournament to be held in Łódź, Poland, from March 18 to 28, 2027. The event will take place at the 15,000-seat Atlas Arena. This marks PGL's return to Poland since the legendary Major in Kraków in 2017.
The tournament will feature 16 teams, with 14 receiving direct invites via the VRS ranking list and the remaining two spots determined through a European qualifier. The prize pool is set at $1 million, and PGL has introduced a new rule: teams that decline participation after accepting an invite may lose their right to a direct invite for future tournaments.
PGL originally planned to hold the event in Kraków but was forced to change locations due to venue issues. The event is expected to attract the world's best CS2 teams, continuing the legacy of the 2017 Major in Kraków.
This is huge! PGL returning to Poland after a decade is a massive deal for the community. I can't wait to see the action in Łódź. Will they top the 2017 Kraków Major? Let's hope so!
