In the authentic atmosphere of Ljubičev, where tradition, culture, and the identity of eastern Serbia have intersected for centuries, the Diplomatic Day was held within the framework of the colony.

More than 20 members of Etno Network showcased their heritage through traditional textile crafts. The event, organized by the Etno Network Association and supported by the City of Požarevac, brought together representatives from various regions and countries.

The theme of this year's event was inspired by the rich cultural layers of the Braničevsko district, including miniature representations of frescoes and mosaics from the ancient city of Viminacium, and motifs from the Kličevac Idol, a unique pagan female figure from the Bronze Age.

Požarevac Mayor Saša Pavlović stated that Ljubičev had become a symbol of the convergence of culture, art, and diplomacy. "The colony has brought life to Ljubičev, showcasing the power of art that unites people and cultures," he said. "This space unites tradition with the modern age, fostering friendships and opening new opportunities for cooperation and understanding."

British Ambassador to Serbia Edward Ferguson expressed his delight at staying in Požarevac, known for its Ljubičev horse games and as the "Plasma Cookie" city. He highlighted the spirit of community, friendship, and energy displayed by the women of the Etno Network. "The women here preserve the spirit of Požarevac's history and the rich heritage of this area, which plays a significant role in local development," Ferguson added.

Violeta Jovanović, President of the Etno Network and Executive Director of NALED, emphasized the importance of cultural heritage in uniting people and knowledge. She stressed that the colonies organize by Etno Network showcase not only the past but also an integral part of modern Serbian identity.

Participants included women from Valjevo, Kladovo, Pančevo, Sombor, Novi Pazar, Šid, Kruševac, Čačak, Zaječar, Loznica, Šapca, and Belgrade, with the host being the "Kolo Srpskih Sestara" association.
