Robert Lewandowski, the striker for FC Barcelona, has announced that he will not be renewing his contract with the club. As a result, he will leave the club as a free agent this summer. The Polish star made this announcement through a farewell post on social media, without disclosing his next destination.

"After four years filled with challenges and hard work, it's time to move on. I leave with a sense of mission accomplished. Four seasons, three titles. I will never forget the love and support I received from the fans from my first day at the club. Catalonia is my home on Earth. Thank you to everyone I met along the way during these wonderful four years. Special thanks to the president, Joan Laporta, for giving me the chance to experience the most incredible chapter of my career. Barcelona is back where it belongs. Long live Barcelona. Long live Catalonia," the 40-year-old player wrote, accompanied by a special video.

FC Barcelona also used social media to thank the Polish national for his contributions to the team's success over the last four seasons. "You came as a star. You leave as a legend. Thank you, Robert Lewandowski, for every goal, every fight, and every magical moment wearing these colors. 'Kulér' forever," they wrote.
