Filip Hrgović secured a technical knockout victory over Dave Allen in the third round at Doncaster on Saturday evening. Hrgović was relentless from the start, delivering heavy blows to Allen's head and body in the first round, forcing Allen's corner to throw in the towel in the third round to prevent further damage. This was Hrgović's 20th career victory and his 15th by knockout.

The match was attended by Hull City coach Sergej Jakirović, who posted a photo on social media of himself and a colleague waiting for the fight to begin. Jakirović witnessed Hrgović's outstanding performance firsthand and celebrated the knockout with his compatriot. Jakirović is now preparing for what will be one of the most important matches of the season for Hull City, as they face Southampton in the Championship final at Wembley on May 23rd.
