Ivory Coast have named four Premier League players in their 26-man squad for this year's World Cup, but former Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha has been omitted from the list. The squad includes Emmanuel Agbadou from Wolves, Ibrahim Sangare from Nottingham Forest, and forwards Amad Diallo of Manchester United and Evann Guessand from Aston Villa.
Zaha, 33, who has 36 caps for his national team, was selected for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) earlier this season, but the winger, currently on loan with Charlotte FC in Major League Soccer from Galatasaray, has not been chosen for the World Cup finals.
Other players with English top-flight experience named in the squad by head coach Emerse Fae include Seko Fofana, Jean Michael Seri, Simon Adingra, and Nicolas Pepe. RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande, who has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, is among the forwards selected, along with the uncapped Ange-Yoan Bonny of Inter Milan.
I can't believe Zaha was left out of the squad! With his experience and skill, he should've been a no-brainer. What's the head coach thinking?
