Historic Day! Monument for Dinko Dermenjiev-Chiko Unveiled in Plovdiv

The 1st of May, 2026, will forever be etched in the history of Plovdiv's "Botev." On this day, a grand ceremony was held to unveil the monument dedicated to Dinko Dermenjiev-Chiko, a legendary football player for the "yellow-and-black" team and the national pride of Bulgaria.

The monument stands prominently in front of the Hristo Botev Stadium. Attending the ceremony were Chiko's widow and sister, the mayor of Plovdiv Kostadin Dimitrov, and former president of the Bulgarian Football Union Valentin Mihov.
