During the PAOK-Olympiacos match, the home team rightly protested about the first PAOK goal, while on Leoforos Avenue, Panathinaikos complained about a missed penalty against Tetteh. Meanwhile, Lanoua had chosen to take a break at the Pagkritio resort in Crete, observing the low-stakes match between OFI and Aris.

Lanoua, who is busy renewing his contract with the Hellenic Football Federation (EFL), does not seem overly concerned with the league's ongoing controversies. In his absence, the league faced several contentious moments, including the highly contested Cup final, where the underdog OFI emerged victorious.

Outside of the need for Lanoua to take a celebratory photo with the Cup or to sell the story to OFI, the Cup has proven to be a source of surprises and controversies. The international referee Tsakalidis officiated the match.
