The Bulgarian Counter-Strike 2 player, Alex "Rainwaker" Petrov, and his team Monte had a rough start to the Swiss phase of the PGL tournament held in Astana, Kazakhstan. Monte lost their first match of the Swiss phase with a score of 0:2 (3-13, 3-13) against FURIA, failing to perform well on both Nuke and Overpass maps.

In contrast, the Brazilian team FURIA dominated the match, securing a convincing victory. Despite the defeat, Petrov managed to record the best individual performance for his team with a 13/26 K/D ratio. KSCERATO and Daniil "molodoy" Golubenko were particularly impressive for FURIA, with KSCERATO notching 33 frags and molodoy scoring 32 and achieving an impressive rating of 1.92.

FURIA maintained a significant lead from the start, ensuring their victory by the end of the first halves of both maps. The tournament continues tomorrow, with Rainwaker and Monte facing a less pretentious team, magic, from the 0-1 Swiss phase stream.
