A match between Nantes and Toulouse in the final round of the French league was interrupted after home supporters stormed the pitch. Players fled to the changing rooms as riot police quelled the protest by hooligans upset over the team's relegation, before referee Stéphanie Frappart called off the match. Several fans even seemed to target Nantes coach Vahid Halilhodžić, who was leading the team for the last time before announcing the end of his 33-year coaching career. Eventually, the hooligans withdrew to the stands.

The dismal campaign left the Nantes team in 17th place out of 20. Paris Saint-Germain (champions with 76 points), Lille (third with 61 points), and Lyon (fourth with 60 points) secured spots in the Champions League for the 2025/2026 season after the final round of matches. Marseille (fifth with 59 points) secured a place in the Europa League, while Nice (16th with 32 points) will play off for survival against Saint-Étienne. Nantes (17th with 23 points) and Metz (18th with 17 points) were relegated from Ligue 1.

Lille and Lyon lost in the final round, with Lille losing 0-2 to Orléans and Lyon losing 0-4 to Lille, but still qualified for the Champions League next season, with Lyon entering through the qualifiers. Champions Paris Saint-Germain lost 1-2 to the city rival FC Paris, with the result worsened by the injury to Usman Dembélé in the first half before the Champions League final against Arsenal on May 30. Dembélé was substituted in the 27th minute after a collision. Aminani Gourī scored both goals for the hosts in the 76th and 104th minute of added time, while PSG's Bradley Barket scored the initial lead for the visitors in the 50th minute.
